This Privacy Policy describes how your data is handled by the Local Social Poster App, a desktop application that runs entirely on your personal computer.
🔐 1. No Cloud. No Sharing.
This app is self-hosted and runs locally on your machine. No data is uploaded, stored, or shared with any third-party servers, platforms, or services unless you explicitly connect a social media account (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram) for publishing.
💻 2. What the App Can Access
When you use the app, the following data is handled locally:
- Social media tokens (e.g. Facebook, YouTube): only saved to local files if authentication is completed.
- Post content (titles, descriptions, images/videos): created and stored on your local storage.
- Amazon scraping data: if you use the Amazon product fetcher, only the product info you fetch is stored locally.
Nothing is transmitted externally unless required by the platform API (e.g., uploading to YouTube).
🔑 3. Platform Authentication
The app uses official OAuth flows to authenticate with:
- Facebook & Instagram
- YouTube
- Pinterest (in progress)
- TikTok (planned)
All access tokens are stored locally and used only for publishing content that you choose to post.
🧑 4. Who Has Access?
Only me, as the device owner, have access to:
- Your local database or token files
- The history of content and schedules
- Any media used for posts
The developer of this app does not collect or monitor your data in any way.
❌ 5. No Tracking. No Ads.
Suggested text: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
This app contains:
✅ 100% offline operation (except for platform APIs)
❌ No tracking scripts
❌ No analytics
❌ No advertisements
